Campaspe Shire Council is launching its first-ever Youth Awards program.
The awards provide a chance for residents to recognise young people between the ages of 12 and 25 who are making a real difference in Campaspe through outstanding community contributions.
Deputy Mayor Tony Marwood asked the community to consider and take the time to nominate an incredible young person.
“Young people are at the heart of our community, and these awards are about celebrating their passion, leadership and commitment to making Campaspe a better place,” he said.
An independent panel of community leaders will assess all nominations, ensuring a fair, transparent and thorough evaluation process.
Awards will be presented across two age groups, 12 to 17 years and 18 to 25 years, across six categories:
- Excellence in Leadership
- Excellence in Community Impact
- Excellence in Environmental Sustainability
- Excellence in Innovation and Enterprise
- Excellence in Arts and Culture
- Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion
All nominees will also be considered by council’s Youth Action Group for a Youth Recognition Award.
Nominees must live, work or study in Campaspe Shire. They should have made a meaningful contribution to the community in the 12 months leading up to May 31, 2026.
Nominations close on Sunday, June 21, with winners celebrated at a special awards ceremony on August 14.
