Dressed as centenarians, Nagambie Primary School Prep students have marked a huge milestone in their schooling lives.

The students celebrated 100 days of school on Monday, July 27, and instead of looking back, they looked ahead.
“The classroom was filled with laughter as our young students imagined what life might be like when they reach the grand old age of 100,” Prep teacher Melissa Houlihan said.
“As part of the celebrations, the students wrote about what they thought they might do when they are 100 years old.
“Their ideas included spending lots of time with their grandchildren, having a well-earned rest in bed and even playing bowls.”
The 100-themed day saw students decorating biscuits to represent the big number, having fun with colourful balloons and creating their own glasses in the shape of 100.
The young students dressed as 100-year-olds to mark 100 days of learning.
“Over the first 100 days of school, our beautiful group of Preps have made so much progress,” Ms Houlihan said.
“They have grown in confidence and independence, developed their reading and writing skills, strengthened their mathematical understanding and, most importantly, built wonderful social connections with their classmates and teachers.”
Ms Houlihan said it had been wonderful watching the Preps settle into school life, become independent learners and experience the joy of learning together.
“Each day they are growing, learning and developing into confident little members of our school community,” she said.
“We are incredibly proud of how far our Preps have come in their first 100 days and can’t wait to see what the next 100 days will bring.
“Congratulations, Preps. What an amazing first 100 days.”
