CFA volunteers from brigades across the shire have been training together for months, building the strength, endurance and resilience needed to complete the demanding challenge.
The event, held on Saturday, September 12, will see firefighters climbing 28 floors while carrying about 25kg of firefighting equipment, simulating the physical demands faced during emergency incidents.
Some participants will make the challenge even harder by wearing breathing apparatus and using air from their cylinders throughout the climb.

Regular training sessions have focused on stair climbing, strength and conditioning, and cardiovascular fitness.
Firefighters in the local team range in age and fitness levels, but all share the same commitment to supporting the cause.
This year's climb will raise funds for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation, Lifeline and Triple Zero Foundation.
Following their fundraising success at last year's event, the Mitchell Shire team is again calling on the local community to get behind them.
“The support we receive from our community means a great deal to us,” a spokesperson from the Mitchell Shire firefighter stair climb team said.
“Every donation motivates us to keep climbing and helps support three organisations that provide invaluable assistance to so many people.”
Residents and local businesses are encouraged to make a donation by visiting www.firefighterclimb.org.au and selecting their favourite Mitchell Shire firefighter.
