The activity, running between Monday, July 27 and Friday, July 31, will involve several detonations of explosive line charges, designed to introduce a land mine clearing capability into the Australian Defence Force.
Up to five loud explosions are expected throughout the week, with a maximum of three per day.
Blasts will only occur during daylight hours, timed to avoid air traffic, with a safety perimeter of at least 2km established for defence personnel.
To reduce noise and vibration impacts, the five major blasts are unlikely to be triggered in cloudy conditions.
Nearby residents can expect to hear, and possibly feel, loud explosions which may rattle glass windows and startle children, pets and livestock.
The intensity of effects will depend on weather conditions and wind direction.
