At 1.50pm on Monday, June 29, SES issued a flood watch for the Goulburn River from Eildon to Seymour.
From Monday, a series of cold fronts are forecast to cross Victoria and are likely to bring widespread moderate rainfall across the north-east and central parts of the state.
The cold fronts are forecast to continue through to Friday.
Rainfall is likely to result in minor to moderate flooding from Tuesday across the flood watch area, with isolated major flooding possible.
Communities within the flood watch zone are being advised to monitor local conditions and remain alert.
Impacted residents should stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings, and farmers should consider moving livestock and machinery to higher ground.
People within this zone are also being urged to decide what themselves and their families will do if flooding impacts them.
The situation is being closely monitored, and flood warnings will be issued as required.
Other impacted catchments across the state include Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers, Ovens and King Rivers, Broken River, Broken Creek, and Seven and Castke Creeks.
