Murray-Darling Basin Authority is going to release a report on feedback to the basin review.

The Murray-Darling Basin Authority is planning on releasing a report on feedback to the basin review this month.

The authority has told Country News the “what we were told’ report should be released on June 24.

The authority plans to publish the report on the MDBA website along with all of the submissions they received from people who have given explicit permission to publish.

“The report is a comprehensive and honest reflection of the more than 2400 submissions received,” an un-named spokesperson told Country News.

“It includes a range of views from across the basin, expressed in their own words.”

The authority has received more than 2400 submissions for the basin plan review.

The review was implemented to establish the progress of the basin plan first adopted in 2012.

The authority is trying to establish whether change is needed to make the plan work more efficiently, to build on successes, how to respond to climate change and to hear what basin communities have to say about issues.

The authority is expected to make recommendations on how the plan should adapt.
