All four of the club’s football sides are confirmed for the Deakin Reserve deciders on September 25 after the Murray Bombers reserves and under-18s won their preliminary finals on Sunday.
The reserves progressed courtesy of a hard-fought 10-point win over Seymour, with Jack Tenace booting two goals and Joe Guiney starring in the 6.8 (44) to 5.4 (34) triumph.
The result sets up what is set to be a scintillating grand final contest against arch-rival Kyabram, which defeated the Murray Bombers by a point in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, the under-18 Murray Bombers rebounded from their dramatic first defeat of the season with a 28-point win over Shepparton United.
Elijah Bruns and Corbin Anderson (two goals) starred for Echuca, booking a rematch with Shepparton Swans in the hopes of securing a premiership three-peat stretching back to 2018.
They will join their under-16 Echuca counterparts who qualified straight for the grand final. They will also face Shepparton Swans in a clash that shapes to be the final under-16 decider in the GVL.
Echuca’s senior football side will be shooting for its first senior in flag in 20 years when it faces either Euroa or Mansfield in the big dance.
Goulburn Valley League grand final day will take place at Deakin Reserve on Sunday, September 25.
