Hi, I’m Riley Evans, I’m a local tradie and a current footy player for Wallan.
I’ve lived in this community for most of my life. I understand its issues and needs.
Safer roads, improved services, better communication and smarter planning to support our rapid growth is what’s needed.
It’s easy to make promises, but unless they’re funded properly, they won’t mean much.
Mitchell Shire is decentralised, with a small rate base and a large road network.
While these challenges exist, we’ll continue to struggle.
In the north, we have an ageing population and infrastructure; in the south, booming populations without the community space/facilities to match.
I’m running in the South Ward because I have a passion for the community.
Wallan needs to be updated to meet modern demands, while Beveridge requires essential services like local shops and toilets.
My focus will be on tackling these challenges and creating new revenue streams, like the Beveridge Freight Terminal, which will generate jobs and funds to help us fix the potholes, provide the facilities and improving rubbish collection, most of all ensuring rates are spent where they matter most.
Let’s work together for a better, more connected community.
Vote for Riley Evans for a brighter future in Mitchell Shire.
