Members not only meet in Rochester, they often enjoy taking ‘’road trips’’ together, such as the recent ‘South Gippsland Gambol’ tour.
Tour organiser Brian Love aims to organise tours that encourage members to try new activities, enjoy a variety of food and foster social connections in interesting surroundings.
His efforts came to fruition in abundance in Gippsland. The tour encompassed the values of Probus — fun, friendship and fellowship in retirement.

The participants based themselves in Wonthaggi. From there, they ventured out each day to such areas as Phillip Island, Wilsons Promontory, Fish Creek, Port Welshpool and Korrumburra, where a variety of activities were experienced.
Among the more memorable activities were go-kart riding at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit go-kart track, cruising on the wilderness tour at Wilsons Promontory and a night of viewing the penguins on Phillip Island.
Other activities included tours through a Vietnam Military Museum, Guerney’s Cider Estate, Bassine Specialty Cheeses, Kerrisdale Mountain Railway and the Wonthaggi State Coal Mine.

Everyone who went on the tour came home tired but very happy, all looking forward to their next tour.
Anyone in the district who is interested in joining the club for some fun and fellowship is encouraged to contact a current member or phone Kathy Williams on 0417 597 815.
