Visitors streamed through the doors of the McIntosh Centre in Shepparton to explore everything needed to create their perfect day, from bridal gowns and menswear to lingerie, live entertainment, catering options, photographers, photo booths, event venues, jewellers, honeymoon destinations and so much more.
The expo brought together a diverse range of local wedding professionals under one roof, giving couples the opportunity to meet vendors face-to-face, gather ideas and start planning their celebrations with confidence.
Goulburn Valley Wedding Collective photographer Rebecca Dalton said she was feeling overwhelmed by the support.
“This event started as an idea — a vision to bring together the incredible wedding businesses we have right here in our region and create a space where couples could connect, be inspired and plan their dream wedding close to home,” she said.
“What unfolded on Sunday was so much more than that.”
The expo highlighted the growing strength of the region's wedding industry, showcasing the talent, creativity and expertise of businesses dedicated to helping couples bring their dream weddings to life.
Tastings from a range of local suppliers proved popular throughout the day, while a stunning fashion parade made a bold statement in the closing hours of the event, drawing a packed crowd eager to catch a glimpse of the latest bridal and formal wear trends.
“The room was filled with conversations, laughter, inspiration, new friendships, collaborations, inquiries, bookings and an incredible sense of community,” Rebecca said.
“To every couple, mum, gran, fiancé, partner, bestie and family member who attended — thank you.”
Kaity Scoble walked away with the ultimate wedding prize pack, valued at over $13,000.
The incredible giveaway included a Just Us mid-week wedding package from The GV Wedding Collective, along with a food and beverage package for 10 from Rye at Tallis, live acoustic music from Hannah Magee Music, and content creation by Casa Sozzial.
The prize also featured a medium candle package from Ambilite Candle Co, a wedding cake voucher from The Cozy Cake Co, a travel voucher from Flight Centre Shepparton, an event hire package from JL Productions and Hire, and an Intimo voucher with Sheree Smith.
Vendors reported a positive response to bookings on the day and strong quality inquiries.
“To every exhibitor who invested their time, creativity and passion into creating beautiful displays and engaging with couples throughout the day — thank you,” Rebecca said.
“This is exactly what The Goulburn Valley Wedding Collective was created for.
“To support local, build community, create opportunities and connect couples with incredible wedding professionals.
“We are so proud of what was achieved and so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.”
