For over half a century Patti contributed to Australian political life, as a student union leader, journalist, staffer to five Federal cabinet ministers,

State Secretary of the Tasmanian ALP, and latterly on a range of public bodies, mainly in health and aged care.

She was unfailing in her loyalty to colleagues and friends, uncompromising in her social beliefs and commitments, and inspiringly courageous in her final illness.

Patti’s family, friends and colleagues are warmly invited to a celebration of her life at St John’s Church, Darlinghurst on TUESDAY, 21 APRIL 2026, commencing at 2 p.m.
