Please pray for the repose of the soul of Rev Fr Michael Tate AO who died on Friday 5 June 2026. A faithful priest of the Archdiocese of Hobart, Fr Michael was ordained to the priesthood on 19 May 2000 by Archbishop Adrian Doyle at St Mary’s Cathedral in Hobart. He faithfully served as Parish Priest in several parishes over 26 years, and as a Consultor, member of the Council of Priests, and Vicar General. Fr Michael was a beloved priest who tirelessly served the Catholic faithful of Tasmania. May he rest in peace.
