Roger died peacefully on 30 May 2026 at Rosebud Hospital, aged 78 years.

Roger is survived by his children, Karen, John and Melanie, and their mother, Sheryle. He was grandfather of Andrew, Taylah, Scarlett, Poppy, John and Jude, great-grandfather of Aaliyah and Arlo and brother of Virginia.
