We are very saddened to announce the passing of Arthur. Very much loved son of Arthur and Tess Downey (both deceased). Loving brother of Ann, Carole (dec), Marie, brother in law to Noel & Neil, loving partner to Margaret. Loved dearly by all his nieces and nephews. Arthur, you brought happiness to all who had the pleasure of knowing you; from your birth place in Scotland, to Whyalla, Adelaide, Leigh Creek and your beautiful home in Crystal Brook. From your sister Marie, I will sorely miss you. A great brother in law to Noel, and uncle to Nic and Ben. I will miss our visits to each other and our weekly/daily phone calls Perth-Crystal Brook. Arthur, a man who was always respectful, hard working, honest and tolerant - and a very knowledgeable gardener! The best big brother I could ever have hoped for, caring and thoughtful. You faced the cancer with remarkable strength, still maintaining your sense of humour. Enjoy your new garden in the sky my beautiful big brother. With love always, your sister Marie.
