Beloved wife of Andy, mother of Adam, mother-in law to Stephanie and grandmother to Elizabeth, Samuel and Alexander. Sister of Margot McNeil (née Paterson), who followed her just days later.

A finance journalist, when women in that role were rare; superb contralto; state tennis player. Brilliant,complex and gloriously chatty. Her generosity and kindness of heart, like dad’s, knew no bounds.

Her love, support of, and faith in her family was absolute. She and dad gave us a home filled with conversation, laughter, music and hundreds of books — and the great gift of feeling safe and loved.
She spent her final years surrounded by family, busy and working, to the last. She missed Dad every day and they are together again now after lives well-lived.
