Tocumwal and Blighty played a cracking match on the netball court, ending in a draw.
Both teams brought their A-game, with some fierce competition and impressive plays.
It was a nail-biter till the end, keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats.
With the lead changing at each quarter break both teams adjusted and tried hard for the win.

B-grade: Blighty 30 def by Tocumwal 44.
Blighty put up a fierce fight, but unfortunately, Tocumwal came out on top this time.
Despite Blighty’s best efforts with our new shooting combination, which worked wonderfully, Tocumwal managed to secure the win.
Every game is a learning experience, and although we didn’t get the win we are implementing our training on court!

It was a rough game against Tocumwal, where we couldn’t quite get into the rhythm.
We continued to try, with a few impressive turnovers resulting in goals.
We look forward to working on a number of things at training and bringing it to Strathy this week.

Another great game against Tocumwal, however it sadly landed us another loss.
Our ladies came out all guns blazing getting heaps of goals and working well through midcourt to get the ball down our end.
We put up a good fight all the way through the game, making Toc work hard for their goals.
I’m proud we never put our heads down and kept going until final siren.
We still have a few things to work on at training ahead of our next game.

Under-17s: Blighty 31 def by Tocumwal 47.
After a convincing win last week we met a tough opponent in Tocumwal on our home ground.
From the first quarter our girls struggled to find their feet and made a few errors under pressure.
However game play improved and the girls reduced the margin at three quarter time.
Chelsea Weir fought hard all day, creating many turnovers in defence.
Millie Hamner stepped up from 15s and attacked strongly for the Redeyes, creating a big impact on the game.
Sammy Watson earned herself the top award for confident attack in the goal ring and always listening to direction and being dedicated to her role and the team.

The girls fought hard all game and never dropped their heads.
Our first quarter wasn’t our strongest, but the girls talked through it at quarter time and came fighting back making it a close game in the second and third quarters.
Great communication, stronger passes and a slower pace enabled our girls to intercept and bring the ball down the court to the shooters.

Under-13s: Blighty 11 def by Tocumwal 20.
Blighty put up a commendable fight against a strong opposition.
All players worked hard in defence with hands over the ball to create turn overs and opportunities to move the ball back into attack.
Shooting combinations had to work hard with the Tocumwal defenders putting lots of pressure to make goals hard to come by.

Under-11s: Not scored.
The girls worked really hard in this game.
Remy Tremble (Flipstars award) and Georgie Butcher (Blighty canteen award) worked to get intercepts in defence, while Olivia Butcher (Finley IGA award) and Keira Lankow (Breast Cancer Network keyring) made space to get the ball down the midcourt.
The girls are working together to become a great team.
