In A-grade, Tallarook trounced Yea by nine wickets to cement second spot on the ladder.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Tigers were shaky from the get go and never truly found momentum as wickets fell in clumps.
Only middle order batter Corbin Sutherland managed to build an innings, but once he was bowled out for 26, Yea’s fate was sealed as the host was bowled out for a miserly total of 47.
Tallarook captain Lachlan Watts (3-6) was the pick of the bowlers, while Xavier Arandt, Leigh Irving and Shane Topham each took two wickets.
In the chase, Tallarook surged to the points in less than 10 overs as Watts (20 not out) and Joshua Rudge (16 not out) led the charge with Andrew Dundon (six) the only casualty.
Watts was elated at the result on the eve of finals.
“It was a great performance to put in leading into finals cricket this weekend,” he said.
“We were pretty clinical in the field and with the ball, putting Yea under a lot of pressure early.
“Xav Arandt continued to impress with the ball and was well supported by the rest of the bowlers.
“To chase down the total without dragging it out was very pleasing.
“We now head into a big semi-final against Seymour. They’ve beaten us this year so it should be a close and exciting game.”
Meanwhile, Seymour sailed to a crucial 37-run win at Chittick Park over Alexandra.
The host batted first and made 124, with key contributions arriving from Simon Van Duinen (47) and Brodey Pointon (20).
Pointon was also on song with the ball as he took 3-9 as Seymour restricted Alexandra to 87.
In the round’s other game, Eastern Hill produced a thumping win over Avenel which was punctuated by a stunning Benjamin Bryant ton.
Bryant smacked 111 (eight fours, five sixes) as Eastern Hill soared to 8-216 before bowling out host Avenel for 79 runs.
Fraser Lewis and Daniel O’Sullivan impressed with the pill for the Eagles, each snaring three wickets as Eastern Hill took out the minor premiership.
The A-grade finals slate has been revealed and goes as follows: Eastern Hill versus Yea Tigers and Tallarook versus Seymour.
