The rankings are updated monthly as a rolling-points system taking into account the previous 12 months of play, with the June ‘year-end’ rankings running from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.
Bowlers accrue points from all national events, state championships, state champion of champion events, and selected club events.
Millerick totalled 234 points, with her highlights including being the runner-up in the Australian Open women’s singles and taking out the singles and triples at the Bowls Victoria state championships.
The Moama bowler’s run in the national event was key to her making a jump into the top five, as Millerick added 64 points to her total in June.
Millerick’s former Moama teammate Olivia Cartwright finished the season as the top-ranked women’s player nationally, accruing 273 points.
In March, Cartwright became the first bowler to win every event at the Henselite Victorian Open, and she also took out the women’s singles at the Victorian Indoor Championships over the past 12 months.
Both Millerick and Cartwright also received their Jackaroos caps back in October.
Other notable women’s rankings from a local perspective included Emma Simmonds, finishing 46th with 78 points.
Meanwhile, Moama duo Matthew Robertson and Kevin Anderson placed in the top 100 of the men’s national rankings, the former finishing equal-45th with 92 points and the latter 57th with 81 points.
