Seymour Football Netball Club is set for a busy Goulburn Valley League finals series yet again in 2026, and not just with the A-grade netball and senior football sides.

A further four lower grade Lions sides will continue on into September, making it six Seymour sides in total from a possible eight, that are set to contest finals in yet another successful season for the club.
It will be a bumper Saturday at Tatura Park for the Lions, with all six of their top six finishing sides to play on the same day and same venue in do-or-die contests.
Among the sides gearing up for a title tilt is the Lions’ reserves football side, out to defend its premiership from last year when it takes to the field this Saturday, having finished fifth on the ladder with an 11-7 record.
The reserves will face fourth-placed Rochester, which claimed a 33-point victory in their only meeting this season, and will be hoping for a big bag from now two-time league leading goalkicker Jack Radford to help overturn that result, the big full forward having wrapped up the award for a second consecutive season at the weekend after booting 67 goals from 17 appearances.
Joining the reserves in defending their premiership will be the Lions’ B-reserve netball side, which finished third on the ladder with a 13-4-1 record at the conclusion of the home-and-away season.

The B-reserve Lions face a more favourable first-round finals match-up than their reserves' football clubmates, set to take on sixth-placed Benalla on Saturday having beaten them by 17 and nine goals, respectively, in their two meetings this season.
The under-17 Lions will be contesting a final this weekend too having secured a draw in the final round to clinch sixth spot by half a game, finishing with a 7-9-2 record, though will be up against it when they face the third-placed Shepparton Swans.
In their two outings against the Swans this season, the Lions have gone down in both, losing 26-55 in the first encounter, though rallied for a much more competitive 38-45 defeat in round 17, and will be hoping they can ride the underdog status to a big win on Saturday.
The final lower grade Seymour side to hit the court on Saturday will be the B-grade netballers, who will have to take the long route to reprise their grand final appearance from last season after finishing fifth with a 12-5-1 record.
Despite the fifth-placed finish, the B-grade side is still a genuine threat, having been within five goals of second-placed Echuca in both of their meetings throughout the year, while also securing one draw and a four-goal defeat to top side Euroa.
They will face fourth-placed Shepparton United this Saturday, and should head in confident, having claimed a nine-goal victory in their only contest against the Demons this season.
