In a high-scoring bout at Kings Park, a brilliant performance from gun midcourter Casey Adamson saw the Lions edge out the sixth-placed Bears.
The Lions' triumph in round eight of the Goulburn Valley League has propelled them to third place on the ladder, boasting an impressive 7-1 record.
The match against Shepparton proved to be a test of resilience for Seymour.

Shepparton's early surge threatened to throw the Lions off their game, but the Lions rallied, showcasing their determination.

Fuhrmeister expressed her delight with the team's performance.
"It was quite a good match-up and they got the jump on us early," she said.
"I thought it was one of our best performances this season. Although a lot of us have played together we are slowly building our connections and gelling better. We're playing with more confidence now too.
“I thought Casey was unreal; she is such a workhorse with her ability to help out in defence and attack. Liv Barry has grown so much in confidence, Sarah had her work cut-out for her against Jane Cook and I thought Rosie (O’Sullivan) provided good drive and feed in wing-attack.”
