Shepparton Bulls took a 30-19 victory over Wyndham City in Rugby Union Victorian Premiership cup action.

The seniors played at 3.15pm on Saturday, June 24, at Vibert Reserve, looking to avenge the previously defeated reserves side.

Tries from Rossetti Tafaoga, Liahona Vaegaau and Sam Paulo helped the Bulls build their lead.

Wayne Filoi converted all the tries from the tee and added another three from penalties, compared to Wyndham’s two of three tries converted and zero from penalties.

The Bulls sit third on the premiership ladder, with five wins and three losses, trailing Northern and Kiwi Hawthorn.

The top four of the six teams in the competition have five wins following round 8, meaning it’s all to play for in Shepparton’s next game, away at fifth-placed Brimbank on Saturday, July 1.
