As the Bears waltzed towards a B-grade premiership in the fourth quarter, a deflated Katunga side went through the motions to the final horn.
The Bears had pulled out its hunting weapon - a third quarter surprise attack.
Tungamah led by four goals at quarter-time, but the Swannies halved the contest in the second term to remain in touch at the main break, Bears ahead 26-21.
But after the next 15 minute term, the game had been put to bed, as Tungamah led by nine with a period to play.
“Our third quarter has always been our premier quarter all year,” Tungamah co-coach Brodie Gissing said post-game.
“It was nice to maintain that in this game as well.
“We only had the one loss all year so it was good to carry it across and get the final one.”
The margin crossed into double digits through the final term as the maroon and gold crowd cheered their B-grade side home to a 51-39 premiership scoreline.
Fellow Bears co-coach Tahnee Pearce was filled with “pure excitement” as the team raised the premiership cup.
“We knew from the start it was going to be tough, but we fought right to the end,” Pearce said.
“It was awesome, just pure excitement really.”
Stacey Parks earned the best on court award for her work in the centre.
