Only three Blues sides in the history of Origin have conquered Queensland at Suncorp Stadium in a decider.
The latest came two years ago under Michael Maguire and for those nine players who remain in Laurie Daley's squad, the after party was a highlight.
"I was definitely there celebrating with the boys, I think we all were, that was an awesome feeling," said Liam Martin.
"We'll do anything to sort of get that feeling again, and fingers crossed that'll be us on Wednesday night."
Jarome Luai posed for photos outside Queensland's spiritual home The Caxton Hotel, while Brian To'o - axed by Laurie Daley for Wednesday's game - was spotted boarding a plane in his full playing kit.
Luai and halves partner that night, Mitchell Moses, were seen drinking in their match-worn jerseys in a Brisbane nightclub well into the early hours of Thursday morning.
"It was an unreal feeling as it is anytime that you win a series it's a great feeling," Moses told AAP.
"Two years ago we obviously clinched it up there and I'd love to have that again, and that's the goal of this camp."
Not everybody got to let their hair down that night, though, with Cameron Murray tucked up in bed as he tried to rest up for club duties with South Sydney.
Much to Murray's frustration he learned the following morning he had been handed a ban for his role in a sideline punch-up midway through the second half.
"I thought I was backing up, and then when I woke up, I found out I was suspended for two games," Murray said.
"I probably would have (gone out) if I knew I wasn't going to be playing but I had to keep it low key last time."
Murray hopes to have the chance to celebrate a third decider win of his career - only Brad Fittler has as many for NSW - having tasted success in 2019 and 2024.
"Suncorp is their spiritual home so they're always up for it and with it being a decider is always a big occasion," Murray said.
"We won our last two games at Suncorp so we've proven to ourselves that we can get the job done, so there's no hoodoo for us, nothing in our heads, so hopefully we can go out there and play as well as we can."
