The sun shone on Finley Public school and their visitors as the 2025 Bomaderry to Blacktown Variety Bash rolled into town at the Finley Apex Sports and Community Centre on Monday lunchtime.

Eighty-eight cars, 220 passionate ‘Bashers and their support crews made the stop a memorable one.
Finley Public School was honoured to be the recipient of a grant to support the purchase of a new interactive smart board for their Sensory Room, to support neurodivergent students at the school.
The students had a trivia sheet to complete about the history of The Variety Bash, the visiting cars and towns they had visited.
Bashers also generously donated novelties and sports equipment to students.

Dressed up in the colourful costumes, a sprint three-legged race was full of action with tumbles and crowd cheering them on.
Super Herbert, the World's Skinniest Magician, entertained the students and staff with his magic show and unique dance moves.
The school's P&C arranged catering for the Bashers, with months of planning capably led by members Megan Vallance and Hannah Ham.
With a team of dedicated volunteers that put their hands up to help out, it was a huge success and a great fundraiser for the group.
The school expressed thanks to local sponsors including the Cole family who provided fruit and vegetables, Sun Valley Australia for the donations of fruit straps and Rosalie Ham, author of The Dressmaker, for her generous raffle prize donation.
