Sleepers brave a cold, rainy night

Boddie Arthur set himself up on one of the CBD’s park benches.

Almost 30 community members braved the wet and chilly conditions to raise funds for vulnerable people in our community on Thursday.

Armed with their sleeping bags or swags, slippers, beanies and warmest clothes, they staked out a spot in the Deniliquin CBD to sleep for the night.

Before they climbed into bed, the traditional Vinnies Deniliquin Community Sleepout soup kitchen was open to fill their stomachs with a little warmth.
