The annual Seymour Show will return on Friday, October 3, from 4pm to 9pm, and will continue the following day at 9am.
As the only agricultural show in Mitchell Shire, the event is a highly anticipated one.
Wednesday, October 1, marks the beginning of in-person entries, with the Ken Hall Pavilion in Kings Park to be open from 1pm.
The following day, the hall will be open from 10am. For those who can’t make it, entries can be submitted online.
Secretary Pam Beerens said there was something in the show for everyone.
“This year’s show promises a lot of free activities for all ages,” she said.
“Eljay on his bikes promises some excitement, the Royal Flying Doctors Service simulator, too. Natimuk A and P with their header simulator enables you to see what it is like to harvest a crop.
“(There will be) woodchop on the back oval with harness horses and free pony rides in the RDA facility, hands-on science in the exhibition building with baking, produce, plants and flowers.”
The Night Out with The Skerricks will end the Friday kick-off with rocking sounds and dance-worthy tunes.
From there, it’s all about weekend fun close to home.
“Why come? It is a family event that is held local at a minimum cost, with activities for everyone,” Ms Beerens said.
“As a competitor or volunteer, it’s a once a year chance to be involved in a great community event.”
