Seymour College proudly celebrated R U OK? Day on Thursday, September 10 by creating opportunities for students to connect, reflect and talk about the importance of looking out for one another.

Over the past two weeks, students have engaged with educational sessions during homeroom, focusing on the importance of meaningful conversations, checking in with others and knowing when to seek support.
The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn provided a delicious barbecue on the day.

On Thursday, students were able to participate in a range of activities in the library, including sharing what they’re grateful for and adding that message to the school’s Gratitude Tree.
Staff celebrated with a shared morning tea, and at lunch time, DJ Fat Controller provided all the entertainment with some great tunes, creating a positive and relaxed atmosphere for students to connect with their friends.

The college has extended a huge thank you to the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn and Mitchell Shire Youth Services for generously providing a barbecue for the students.
“We greatly appreciate their support in helping us create a positive and connected school community,” a Seymour College spokesperson said.
R U OK? Day provided the school community with a wonderful reminder that a simple conversation and genuine check in can make a meaningful difference.
