Last week’s Pulse Deniliquin event saw schools from all over the district come to Deniliquin for workshops on music, singing and dancing over three days.
It culminated in a showcase of talent at the Deniliquin Town Hall over two performances on Thursday night.
With a combined total of about 500 audience members across two performances, the show was a resounding success.
Before the showcase, students from Year 3 to 12 were engaged in workshops in drama, dance, music and film.
This was the first time the NSW Department of Education Pulse program has been hosted in Deniliquin, and arts coordination officer Peter Hayward confirmed it would not be the last.
“The show went amazingly; we filled the town hall to the brim,” he said.
“We are now planning to be back next year.”
Pulse was the perfect lead into this week’s Education Week, which is designed to celebrate the role schools play in inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.
The 2025 theme is ‘Ignite your potential’.
