On December 15, a 28-year-old woman allegedly stole items from four stores in Echuca. The woman was arrested and remanded in custody.

On December 16, a 27-year-old man was arrested for theft after going to an Annesley St business. Due to other matters, he was remanded in custody to face court at a later date.
On the same day, cash was stolen during a break-in at a High St shop. Echuca police are still investigating.
Lock up bikes and scooters securely
A V100 racing bike valued at $2500 was stolen from outside a business in High St, Echuca, on December 17. It was chained up at the time and both the chain and bike were taken.
Two Ninebot electric scooters were stolen from outside a business on River Ave in Echuca on December 15.
Overnight on December 19, two bikes were stolen from outside a Morton St address after being left unsecured. The bikes are worth about $1100.
A number of bikes have been recovered by Moama police and can be claimed by people who are able to identify them or show proof of ownership.
Stolen vehicles
A dark grey 2008 Holden Rodeo with the registration WIN 850 was stolen between noon on Monday, December 18, and 10.30am the next day. The vehicle, last seen in a paddock on the corner of Aird Rd and Mount Terrick Rd, Pine Grove, has a steel canopy for dog box, fridge and a light blue toolbox on the back.
Between December 19 and December 21, a white Hyundai station wagon was stolen in Moama after being left unlocked. The registration number is ENL19P.
A yellow Suzuki motorbike has been reported missing from Mathoura, making it the third significant theft in the community since December 16.
The motorbike, a DR-Z400 model with the number plate QRF 38, was stolen from a secured trailer in Moama St between 8pm on Christmas Eve and 8am Christmas Day. It is valued at $4500.
Between December 19 and 20, an old style, faded green Deutz tractor and a Red NDE feeder wagon were stolen from a property on Leitchville Rd, McMillans. The tractor is a late ’80s or early ’90s model. Witnesses are urged to report any information to police.
Missing boat
Between December 7 and December 21, a small tinny boat was stolen off the back of a houseboat along the Murray River.
Found items
A number of power tools have found in Mathoura and are being held at the Moama police station. They can be collected with proof of ownership.

Police investigating Mathoura thefts
Police are investigating the theft of a ride-on mower, whipper snipper and power drill after Mathoura Primary School’s shed was broken into on December 16.
Mathoura resident Betty Muphy also had all presents removed from under the Christmas tree of her Mathoura home on December 16.
During the evening of December 19, a generator worth about $900 was stolen from a Mathoura property.
Gunbower State Forest suffers theft
Cameras set up in Gunbower State Forest by Parks Victoria as part of a covert investigation into illegal red gum timber harvesting have been stolen. The cameras were operating in the days leading up to December 22. Police would like to hear from witnesses.

Between December 17 and 18, offenders syphoned about 100 litres of diesel from a parked tractor at a property on Findlay’s Rd, Leitchville.
Operation Roadwise
Police are reminding people about Operation Roadwise after Kyabram police intercepted a vehicle for a random breath test.
It’s alleged an unlicenced man, 24, from Deer Park, had a positive breath test before providing an evidential breath test result of 0.018. He will receive a summons to appear at Echuca Magistrates’ Court for numerous traffic matters and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1240.
This impound forms part of Operation Roadwise, a statewide road policing operation conducted over the Christmas and new year period.
In an effort to reduce road trauma, police are targeting impaired driving, speed, distraction and fatigue in high risk areas throughout Victoria.
