The team can provide general dental and chiropractic X-rays, as well as general, pregnancy, Doppler and musculoskeletal ultrasounds.
Kilmore Medical Imaging also offers contrast and non-contrast CT scans of any body part with artefact reduction technology, CT angiograms and bone mineral densitometry for osteoporosis screening.
The demand for ultrasounds is healthy, with business manager Ngozi Azubuike excited to open an additional room in coming weeks to accommodate more patients.
‘‘We’ve only been operating since September last year, so we’re still in the process of creating awareness within the local communities,’’ she said.
Mrs Azubuike said Australia had an ageing population with many people suffering from aches and pains from normal wear and tear.
Kilmore Medical Imaging is looking to introduce cortisone steroid joint injections in the near future.
‘‘It’s proven to be very effective in relieving joint pain and it’s something we will be excited to offer locally so people can get the medical treatment they need without leaving town,’’ Mrs Azubuike said.
‘‘We’re finalising a few things and will have more announcements about the start date of joint injections.’’
Mrs Azubuike said she was thankful for the support of the community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘‘Like every business, operating was difficult for us during the pandemic. We had to make significant changes to the way we operate to keep people safe,’’ she said.
‘‘But everyone was understanding and we are getting through it together.
‘‘It’s fantastic to hear from patients that we are helping them and providing what they need right here in town.
‘‘We look forward to an ongoing conversation with the community to ensure we are best serving their needs now and into the future.’’
