The Kew state MP launched her Fresh Start Tour on June 21 in the premier's seat of Bendigo, with plans to visit every state electorate in Victoria alongside local Liberal and National members.
Through meetings with local families, small businesses and community groups, Ms Wilson is outlining the policies and plans she intends to take to the election.
On July 6, her next stop was Rochester.
She first met with members of the flood mitigation committee over a lunch at The Local before heading to the Rochester football ground for discussions with the committee.
Ms Wilson told Campaspe News ahead of the meeting with the flood mitigation group that it was especially important to follow up and understand the impacts of the 2022 floods and see where the government needed to go from there.
She also said, with the football club being a central part of the community, that meeting with them would allow her to know what needed to be done with the sporting facilities to create a central place for the community.
“The purpose of the tour is to make sure that Victorians know that I’m going to be on the ground, I’m going to listen to them and (tell them) that we have a plan and the solutions to fix this state,” she said.
“Regional Victorians feel that they’re being neglected, and they’re forgotten under this Labor government... I want them to know I’m going to deliver the solutions to... give Victoria a fresh start.”
