ALWAYS LIVE has announced Shepparton as the next destination in its current Victorian Vibes series with pop-up music about to dominate the CBD on Saturday, June 13.
A raft of talent, including artists Dan Sultan, Augie March, Boy & Bear, and many others, has paved the way in the live music series, gracing Melbourne, Ballarat, Lorne and Traralgon with their casual streetside presence.
King Stingray performs in Bendigo on May 30 as part of the ALWAYS LIVE Victorian Vibes live music series, which is heading to Shepparton with a new line-up of Australian artists.
Joining Corby and King Stingray in Bendigo on May 30 were Queenie and Emma Gleeson.
“Bendigo was something else — we've been blown away by the reception we've received in every town visited thus far and can't wait to experience Shepparton’s energy in the coming weeks,” ALWAYS LIVE chief executive Psyche Payne said.
Who will land in Shepparton remains to be revealed.
In a format similar to Shepparton’s own famed Secret Garden Gigs series, the ALWAYS LIVE series doesn’t reveal artists or locations until closer to the event.
Only those registered to attend via alwayslive.com.au will receive exact performance times and locations closer to the day.
“This series is another fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of our region, drawing visitors to experience our live music scene while exploring everything the Goulburn Valley has to offer,” Victorian Treasurer and Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes said.
“Shepparton is the perfect backdrop for the next chapter of ALWAYS LIVE Victorian Vibes, offering visitors an incredible mix of music, culture, food and regional hospitality.”
Ms Symes said events of this nature created real benefits for regional businesses, as well as encouraging visitors to stay longer and discover more about the region.
The Victorian Vibes series began in mid-April, continuing every second weekend through to the end of June.
The initiative is supported by the Victorian Government through Visit Victoria.
Victorian Vibes forms part of ALWAYS LIVE's broader mission to showcase Victoria through the power of live music, supporting local businesses and tourism while reflecting the full diversity and identity of the state.
