Whether you're an experienced knitter, a crochet enthusiast, or someone keen to learn a new skill, this friendly gathering offers the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow locals.
The day begins at the Benalla Library, where participants can enjoy knitting, socialising, and a special 'Learn to Knit' session from 10am–12pm.
Beginners are warmly encouraged to come along and learn to knit in a relaxed environment.
From 12pm to 2pm, the event will continue at the Benalla Visitor Information Centre in Mair St.
A ‘Learn to Crochet’ session will begin at 12.30pm, providing a great introduction to this popular craft.
A $5 fee covers materials and a crochet hook to take home. Participants will learn to make an accessory that they can take with them.
Benalla Social Knitters is raising money to pay for insurance, and have a raffle on the day with some fantastic prizes for crafters including vouchers for Bendigo Woollen Mills, Spotlight, and Your Everyday Gourmet.
Bring your current project or simply come along to learn, share, and enjoy crafting in public with the community.
