Boat Club needs help with 80th celebrations

Logan Littmann at the Body Harmony celebrations.

The Deni Boat Club - a beloved local institution - was established in 1946, and its 80th birthday celebrations are coming up fast.

As a result, the club is looking for good quality, clear photos and memorabilia of the Deniliquin Boat Club from over the years to be shared in some 80th year anniversary displays.

The boat club’s volunteers are hoping the community might have some clear photos they don’t already have to add to their big collection.

The photos are set to be displayed at the club and potentially in another local exhibition.

Details of the anniversary celebrations are still being planned, so nothing can be revealed just yet.

If you have some items you can share with the group, reach out to the committee via the Deniliquin Boat Club Facebook page.

Kidney Action Week

Kidney Action Week is under way - an initiative from Kidney Health Australia which aims to raise awareness and encourage people to take their health into their own hands.

Kidney Health Australia is calling on all Australians to take kidney disease seriously by understanding their risk of getting the incurable disease.

Waiting for symptoms to appear is too late – you can lose 90 per cent of kidney function without experiencing any symptoms.

Taking action is simple. It only takes two minutes.

Join Kidney Health Australia in finding the 2.7 million Aussies living with kidney disease and calling on all Australians to do the two-minute online kidney risk test during Kidney Action Week this week.

To do the test, go to: https://kidney.org.au/get-involved/kidney-action-week.

You can learn more about kidney health at the Deniliquin Local Health Advisory Committee’s upcoming health talk. Turn to page 3 to learn more.
