Civitas delivers tailored services and practice solutions to small-to-medium self-licensed financial advice professionals across Australia.
Ms Attwood said she was genuinely surprised by the appointment, and deeply appreciative of the opportunity.
“It’s a real acknowledgement of the work that goes into supporting clients, supporting colleagues, and doing things properly,” Ms Attwood said.
The Civitas Advisory Board role will see Ms Attwood contribute to conversations around advice standards, compliance, and the future direction of the financial services profession.
She is particularly focused on keeping people at the centre of decision-making.
“At the end of the day, it’s about helping people feel secure and supported in their financial lives,” she said.
Ms Attwood joined Belmore’s Wealth Management in 2017 after nine years with Vision Super in Melbourne and has since taken on senior leadership roles within the firm, including Responsible Manager and Compliance Manager.
She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), CPA qualification, and postgraduate financial planning credentials, which she said have helped shape her approach to both technical advice and client care.
She is deeply connected to the Yarrawonga community, where she lives with her family, and is actively involved in netball, coaching junior and senior teams, which she says is rewarding and grounding.
“I really enjoy being involved locally; it’s a wonderful community, and it’s nice to give something back,” she said.
“Being part of a regional community makes you very aware of people’s real-life challenges and priorities.”
In her new role with the Civitas Advisory Board, Ms Attwood said she is looking forward to contributing thoughtfully while continuing to stay true to her values.
“I feel very fortunate, and I just hope I can add value in a meaningful way,” she said.
