A record number of entries were received for the 2026 awards, with hundreds of people gathering at Riverlinks Eastbank on Friday, October 23, to recognise the achievements of local businesses across 12 categories.
Talisman Menswear owner Paul Jerome was named this year’s Hall of Fame recipient, recognising his contribution to the local business community.
Having started sewing at just 14, Mr Jerome opened Talisman Menswear in 2007 and has built his business around helping customers look and feel their best.
Mr Jerome said he was thankful and honoured to receive the award.
“I love doing what I do. The hours kill me but it’s a lot of fun,” he said.
“I take a lot of pride in making guys look good, and when they come back, god it feels good.”
Based on McLennan St in Mooroopna, Talisman Menswear was among a diverse range of businesses recognised on the night, with winners spanning industries.
Other businesses honoured included FOOTT, Mooroopna Salvations Army and local milliner Fortin Hats, highlighting the breadth of talent and enterprise across the region.
The awards brought together business owners, community members and local dignitaries to celebrate the people and companies helping the region to thrive.
