Voters set date to elect Scott Morrison's replacement

People in the southern Sydney seat will have until March 18 to finalise their details on the electoral roll.

Nominations for candidates will close on March 21.

The Liberal Party has pre-selected consultant Simon Kennedy as their candidate for the seat to replace Mr Morrison.

Labor has yet to pre-select a candidate and there is speculation the party won't run a candidate in the safe Liberal seat.

The Liberals hold the seat by 12.4 per cent, but did suffer a 6.58 per cent swing against it at the last election, on a two-party preferred basis.
