Nagambie Bowls Club will have three teams participating in the Goulburn Valley Pennant season.

Seymour

Last Saturday Seymour hosted Heathcote Bowling Club for a pennant practice.

This was a successful day and commenced with a barbecue.

All bowlers enjoyed the afternoon and gained good practice for the upcoming season.

The club opening day is on Saturday. Please remember to put your name on the sheet and to bring afternoon tea.

Next Tuesday will be a practice game between Mansfield and Seymour commencing 10.30am.

Bring your own lunch plus a small plate of goodies for afternoon tea for our guests.

Please have names in by this Friday at 10am to ensure you are included in the game.

Social evenings have re-commenced with drinks, raffles, nibbles, occasional meals, members’ draw, Bernie’s Barrel and other competitions.

Come along and support your club.

Bowlers, please watch the notice board for draws of the club games as they become available.

Please be aware of the time restraints and the dates when games must be played by.

Spring has officially begun, at least by the calendar. But the cold, wet and windy weather hasn’t left us just yet and the football finals have just begun — but we’re already thinking of the upcoming bowls season.

The club will hold its opening day on Sunday at 1.30pm.

Uniforms are to be worn and something should be brought along for afternoon tea.

On the following Tuesday, we will hold pennant practice at Euroa. It will be the same format as last year, with play beginning at 10.30am. Players are to be at Euroa by 10am, in club uniform.

Remember to bring your own lunch.

There will be a list of names on the board at the clubhouse, or contact Pam for more details.

The green director has advised the green is now available for members to have a roll on.

While we’ve been on hiatus the following members have celebrated birthdays or anniversaries: Blue, Doreen, Mary V., Anne-Maree, Jenny, Eileen, Maria, Joyce, Dennis, George, and Rusty; belated congratulations to all.

Happy birthday to Ruth U. who also celebrated her wedding anniversary to Len yesterday.

Well wishes are extended to Blue and any other member not feeling as well as they should.

Members are reminded to check the noticeboard for upcoming events.

Happy hour continues on Thursdays at 5pm.
