Schache is a former player at the Lions, while Inness, who is known for his cricket ability more so than his footballing career, donned his brother's Seymour premiership jumper.

Inness is a part of a well-known family at the club, with his brothers Robert, who is now the head of athletic performance at Sydney Swans, and Damien having played at the Lions and his father Kevin ‘Butch’ Inness a life member of the club.

Schache kicked another three goals at the weekend during Footscray's 81-point win over Frankston in the VFL.

The Dogs won 19.14 (128) to 5.17 (47).

Schache now has 11 goals from the four games he has played at VFL level this season.
