The under-13s Deni Rhinos faced off against Cobram in their latest MVCA round, with captain Ben MacDonald losing the toss and being sent into the field.
Opening bowlers Isaac Tubb and Will Crossley applied strong early pressure, restricting Cobram to just 12 runs from the first four overs.
The momentum continued with standout performances from young guns George Pisasale (2/2) and Will Eastman (0/6), who bowled tightly through the middle and late overs.
Cobram finished their 20 overs with a total of 85.
In reply, opening batters Charlie Eastman and Henry Pisasale came out firing, putting together an impressive 59‑run stand before both were retired.
Despite a confident start, a middle‑order collapse made the chase tighter than expected.
With the Rhinos needing stability, the in‑form pair of Charlie and Henry returned to the crease and calmly guided the side home.
Charlie finished on a well‑constructed 37 not out, while Henry dominated with a superb 104 not out, sealing the win for the Rhinos.
