Midweek pennant
Seymour VRI Bowls Club is the midweek pennant premier.
Seymour ventured to Euroa for the Goulburn Valley Playing Area grand final and came away with the silverware, defeating Mooroopna Golf 82-68.
VRI was cruising towards a comfortable win leading up to the morning tea break, leading 49-27. But when play restarted, Mooroopna outplayed VRI 33-41.
But it was Seymour VRI that was celebrating by the end of the day.
Skipper Mick Szczykski, Wayne Noonan, George Furletti and Peter Delzotto won 29-23.
Skipper Moreno Puppa, Peter Stevens, Bill Dawe and Jane Wilson won 24-18.
Skipper Joe Purcell, Helen Flint, Paul Rolfe and Kevin Cain won 29-27.
