The best score of the day went to James Bottaro, who had a great score of 39 points to win B-Grade.
The A-Grade winner was John Boruch, with 35 points.
Only two of the nearest-the-pins were claimed. These were the 6th by Dave Hamilton and the 17th by James Bottaro.
The drive and pitch on the 7th was also unclaimed, while the 15th was won by Bill Matthews.
The ball pool went to 33 points and included Josh Beattie, John Hedley, Jac Smith-Williams, Roger Edwards, Bill Schaeffer-Steele, Ciaran Fountain and Mick Prorok.
Saturday, January 3 was the monthly medal and the first round of the Summer Cup for both the men and the women.
In the men’s results, the winner of the medal and A-Grade was Dave Pearce with a nice score of 75-5=70.
The B-Grade winner was Bill Schaeffer Steele with 81-10=71 and C-Grade was won by Lachy Kirk with 103-30=73.
The best scratch score went to Matt O’Sullivan with 72.
The nearest-the-pin on the 4th was Matt Collard, on the 6th was Dave Pearce, the 12th was won by Dave Enrico and the 17th went to Dave Hamilton.
The drive and pitch on the 8th was claimed by Paul Niebling, and on the 15th it was Matt O’Sullivan.
The ball pool included Matt O’Sullivan, Matt Collard, Greg Pell, Dave Hamilton, Mick Prorok, John Boruch, Peter Nelson and Phil Jarvis with net 73.
The top score of the day went to the winner of the medal in the women’s competition, Dale Stuart, with a terrific score of 89-22=67.
The nearest-the-pin on the 17th was also won by Dale Stuart. The ball pool included Dale Stuart and Ricky Rickman with net 72.
Next Saturday, January 10, the Summer Cup continues for the men and women so it will be a stroke round.
