While the men’s and women’s gifts will each feature total prize pools of $3000, the Caffeine Bistro 300m Masters continues to lead the Victorian Athletic League calendar as its richest masters event and likely the richest of its kind globally.
Seymour Running Club president Blair Collins said the 2025 partnership with Caffeine Bistro further strengthened an already standout feature of the program.
“We’re excited to welcome Caffeine Bistro as the new naming sponsor of the richest masters race in the world,” Collins said.
“Bob and his team have long been major supporters of local sport and were valued race sponsors at last year’s gift.
“Their ongoing commitment to Seymour is something we’re incredibly grateful for.”
Caffeine Bistro, along with its associated businesses Subway Seymour and Smokin’ Joe’s Seymour, is one of the region’s significant local employers, contributing strongly to the town and backing numerous community and sporting initiatives.
“Support from local businesses like Caffeine Bistro and its partner venues is what makes events like the Seymour Club Gift possible,” Collins said.
“Our masters athletes bring experience, passion and showmanship, and having a marquee race dedicated to them adds real character and prestige to the event.”
Collins said the level of prizemoney was expected to attract a fiercely competitive field from across Victoria.
“The prizemoney always raises the stakes, and we’re really looking forward to seeing the masters athletes battle it out in the Caffeine Bistro 300m Masters,” he said.
“It’s shaping up to be one of the standout races of the entire gift.”
He encouraged the community to come along and enjoy the atmosphere.
