Nagambie Golf Club young gun Ryan Ezard clinched victory last week with a stellar 40 stableford points, showcasing his finesse around the greens.

The unseasonably balmy weather made for more receptive putting surfaces, which Ezard expertly exploited with his razor-sharp short game.

His triumph netted him the Seymour Club matchday voucher and a handy 10 points towards the social club trophy.

Tim Hosking nabbed the runner-up spot with a solid 39 points off an 18 handicap, just missing out on the top gong.

Shane Black rounded out the podium with a steady performance, matching his handicap with 36 points.

Nearest-the-pin honours went to Hugh Lawrence on the tricky third, Michael Sloan on the eighth, Jeremy Ezard on the 13th and John Gale on the 16th.

Next week's event will see players teeing off in a four-ball best-ball format, with long-time sponsor McPherson Wines providing the prizes.

S. Bryant will be manning the office, while G. Bow will be keeping the drinks flowing at the bar.

As part of the day’s proceedings, Federal Member for Nicholls Sam Birrell will present a new Australian flag to members about 2pm. All are welcome to join in the occasion.
