Deni Rovers A-grade claimed another dominant win when they faced Tungamah at Memorial Park.
From the opening whistle, the strength of Rovers’ defence was evident, with Chrissy Hurst and Natalie Sampson putting on a defensive masterclass.
Their relentless pressure forced turnovers at every opportunity, punishing any loose balls and missed shots with precision.
While the scoreline may not fully reflect the intensity of the game, the battle on the court was fierce.
Tungamah’s midcourters and defenders created constant pressure, unsettling the usually composed Rovers attackers.
Despite this, the girls found ways to adapt and maintain their dominance throughout the match.

B-grade: Deni Rovers 42 def Tungamah 35.
Rovers B-grade showcased their class with a hard-fought victory over ladder leaders Tungamah in a much-anticipated match.
In a closely contested battle, Rovers’ cohesion was the difference, with their trust in their structures and teamwork shining through from start to finish.
Georgia McCulloch was a standout in defence, but it was the collective effort of the entire team that secured the win.
Congratulations to youngster Ava Braybon, who made her senior netball debut, showing the promise of things to come.

C-grade hit the ground running, jumping out to an 11–4 lead by quarter time against Tungamah.
However, momentum dipped in the middle stages, with passing errors creeping in and disrupting the flow, allowing Tungamah to stay in touch.
The defensive trio of Reagan Behsman, Catie Lewis, and Matilda Glowrey were instrumental throughout the match.
Their smart positioning led to countless intercepts and loose-ball pickups, keeping Tungamah’s scoring opportunities to a minimum.
Rovers found their rhythm again in the final quarter, capitalising on the defenders’ hard work and sealing a dominant 41–13 victory.

C-Reserve: Deni Rovers 26 def Tungamah 18.
In a top-of-the-ladder clash, C-Reserves delivered a hard-fought performance that lived up to expectations.
The nerves were evident early, with both sides making passing errors and keeping the scores low.
At quarter time, Rovers held a narrow 6–4 lead.
The remaining three quarters mirrored the first, with both teams trading goals in a tightly contested battle. Emma East was outstanding in goalkeeper, applying relentless pressure on the Tungamah shooters.
Her ability to force them high and wide, combined with strong rebounding and front positioning, limited their scoring chances.
Abby Whitehorn also impressed with a tireless performance through the centre, providing consistent drive and link-up play.
With composure and structure, Rovers pulled away in the final stages to secure a well-earned 26–18 win.

The Rovers under-17s girls delivered an outstanding performance today against Tungamah, showcasing exceptional skill, structure and teamwork across the court.
In defence, Amy Holloway was unstoppable—her relentless pressure and smart positioning resulted in a string of impressive intercepts.
Isabelle Macknight was a standout in WA, offering strong leads, precise feeds, and tireless defensive effort.
Ruby Cowley once again put on a clinic, shooting with poise, accuracy and confidence.

It may have been cold outside, but the pressure on the court this week was hot!
From the first whistle Tungamah pressured the Rovers girls resulting in an 8-11 deficit at quarter time.
The girls settled after the break and started to build in confidence.
Some great footwork and tips from Zoe Basset and fantastic body work in the goal ring from Ava Braybon were standouts.
Marlie Mison continues to shine in WA with great speed on her drives and strength getting to circle edge.

A freezing cold start to the morning did little to dampen the Rovers’ determination and enthusiasm.
The girls hit the court with energy and focus, continuing to build on their skills and on-court connections week by week.
The senior players stepped up as leaders, offering guidance and support to the younger teammates and setting the tone for a cohesive team effort across all positions.
Coaches were proud of the entire group’s performance, which reflected their growth, teamwork and commitment to improvement.
