Coming up against a newly formed Moama A-grade team was definitely a challenge for us.
But the girls didn’t let their strength get to them, and they continued to do everything asked of them at each break.
We had some beautiful passages of play from defence to attack, which proves we can do it.
Keep working on all the things we do at training and the rewards will come.
Awards: Sarah Taylor, Daisy Daniels.
B-grade: Finley 29 def by Moama 56.
A tough game against a very strong Moama side.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day.
Well done to the girls to be able to keep their heads high throughout the whole game.
They were able to implement what had been learning at training, which was great to see.
Awards: Amarlee Price, Paige Gray.

The long and tough road trip to face Moama at home is always a daunting one.
They are strong in all grades of netball, and their C-grade side proved they were the better team on the day.
We had a slow start and the second quarter saw them consolidate the lead.
A stronger second half saw us compete with more determination and intensity.
Best on Court went to Elyse Price, who showed her flexibility moving from goals to take on the centre bib. She showed it’s a position she could dominate in.
The other award went to Megan Vallance for her defensive pressure, both in the ring and all over the court.
C-reserve: Finley 36 def Moama 34.
C-res proved their worth, defeating Moama by two goals.
It was a slow start, trying to get our rhythm and figure out the best game plan.
Our shooters did an amazing job.
With strong defence, they managed to overcome it with some epic goals that were just pure luck and skill.
Our mid-court had their work cut out for them to get the ball down.
Defensive pressure was also good, with our defensive end getting the right spot at the right time.
Best on court went to Karen Donkin for her drives and overcoming very strong defensive pressure, and the coach’s award to Stacey Doolen for her great defence pressure and taking on the coach’s advice.
Under-17s: Finley 38 def by Moama 61.
The side had a shaky start to the game, but found their feet in the second quarter.
They developed their plays, strengthened their defence and barely missed a shot in attack.
With lots of rotations, the young side adapted well and have taken lots of positives from the game.
Awards: Lilah Brunt, Lillian Baker.
Under-15s: Finley 15 def by Moama 52.
Preparation for this week's game was as much mental as physical.
We knew Moama were going to be hard to beat, and having our heads in the right place was our best defence.
The first quarter saw the Cats outsmart and outplay to hold our ground with a 9-all score.
I believe Moama underestimated the fight our girls had in them!
Moama's skill and height began to dominate, and the Cats focused their efforts on making their opponents work hard to score.
The girls never let up and continued to demonstrate the skills they have been working on at training.
The team played hard right up to the final whistle and, despite the loss, retained their positive attitude and came off ready to rally for the win next week.
Awards: Piper Pyle, Addison Baker.
Under-13s: Finley 3 def by Moama 33.
The young Cats are improving each week, and continue to show up and put in their best effort regardless of facing some much bigger towns with tough competition.
Moama’s team were too good for us, and they demonstrated experience and incredible teamwork - something we will continue to aspire toward.
We are so proud of the girls for maintaining a positive attitude the whole game.
Awards: Sienna Keeley, Macy Pyle.
Under-11s: Not scored.
Our 11s played an excellent game, showing their growth as a team each week.
They were very excited and showed excellent dedication in the first quarter, and throughout the whole entire game.
A very strong Moama team left us with no choice but to fight 100 per cent of the time.
Awards: Cassie Dundon, Camilla Massina.
