Visiting golfer John Dalgleish, from Lara, won the Australian Solar and Security Stableford event by amassing a fine 41 points.
It was a clear margin of three from runner-up Shane Black on 38 points and third place, Ben Cassar, also 38.
There were nearest-the-pin prizes for both the men and ladies, with Andrea Richards playing a stunner up to the eighth and visiting golfer Chris Casey showing what she could do on the 16th.
For the men, Hugh Lawrence was in good form from the third, Mark Wursthorn impressed, reaching the eighth, Joe Labas played a vintage strike on to the 13th, and Gary Bow displayed good accuracy into the 16th.
Sunday’s regular men’s golf event was played in fine weather. Thirty-one players teed off for the fourth round of the summer trophy.
The winning score was shot by Ben Cassar, who claimed the win with 81-13-68, the lowest net score of the summer so far.
The runner-up was Chris Roberts, who scored his best score in some time, 92-23-69.
Third place was David Love, who played consistent golf.
Nearest-the-pin prizes went to Graeme Galvin, with one of his usual thumps from the eighth, Lindsay Hall guiding a solid iron on to the 13th and Alby Seenan negotiating all the trouble from the 16th.
