The reigning premier booted 12.8 (80) while keeping the Bulldogs scoreless for the entire contest at Tatura Park, romping to a fourth straight win from as many games to remain unbeaten on top of the GMWL ladder.
Sunday’s match also saw skipper Paige Baksh bring up 50 games in the bottle green, which she celebrated with four majors, the most of any player on the ground.
Baksh continues to lead the way league-wide for goals kicked so far this season, averaging a tick over six per game with her tally now at 26 for the season from four games, 12 ahead of her nearest competitor, Nathalia’s Abby Favaro.
Olivia Dewar was Echuca’s best on the day, joined by Kate Dixon who hit the scoreboard with three goals, while Hendrika Kirchhofer, Jedah Huf and Sophie Perkins were all also influential in the win.
Meaghan Demasi and Lily Hillman were among the goals, each booting two for the afternoon, while Sophie Douglas slotted one.
The Murray Bombers will be back at home next weekend, hosting Rumbalara at Victoria Park, with Echuca running out 138-point winners the last time the sides met in round two.
Goulburn Murray Junior Girls
Echuca United has improved to a 4-0 record and end round four on top of the ladder after another impressive Goulburn Murray Girls League performance, dispatching Shepparton Swans at Echuca South Recreation Reserve.
The Eagles kicked 14.6 (90) to the Swans’ 0.1 (1), with a number of strong showings from individuals in the win.
Harper Delamare kicked three goals as Echuca United’s best, while Jerrah Caruso was similarly influential, ending with a game-high four goals.
Sage Dennis and Hayleigh Lewer were strong contributors, while Jada Bover (two goals) and Azahlia Palmer earned nominations in the best as well.
Ruby McLeod made an impact on the scoreboard, slotting three goals, while Ava Plattfuss and Chelsea Swiggs each ended the day with one major.
The Eagles will look to make it 5-0 this Friday night, when they take on Moama in a cross-border showdown under lights at Echuca South Recreation Reserve.
Moama on the other hand will enter the clash looking to regain some momentum, having gone down at the weekend to Shepparton United by 29 points at Kialla Park Recreation Reserve.
The Magpies fell 6.2 (38) to 10.7 (67) against the undefeated Demons, although had plenty of contributors in the loss.
Katie Shanon booted three of her side’s goals, while Matilda Cooke chipped in with one, with both players among the best.
Charlie Martin, Madeline Williams, Bella Kendrick and Kaitlyn Davidson were all solid performers in the loss also.
The Magpies sit fourth at the end of round four, and will look to notch their second win of the season against the Eagles on Friday.
