Season 2024 premiership Pie Hollie Reid is headed back to Memorial Oval, following a season with Tongala that yielded a grand final appearance and the league’s best-and-fairest, one that further solidified her reputation as one of country netball’s premier midcourt stars.
With a list of accolades that includes multiple representative appearances, two runner-up placings in the GVL’s Wellman Medal, and a swag of club best-and-fairests, Reid’s return will be a popular one for the Magpie faithful.
Coupled with premier sharpshooter Bec Colwell putting pen to paper for another season with the reigning premiers after a 900-goal campaign, Euroa will once again be a force to be reckoned with.
Meanwhile, Kyabram’s efforts to put a tumultuous 2026 campaign behind it received a major boost with an experienced name in Goulburn Valley coaching circles appointed as coach.
A pre-season player exodus almost brought the program to its knees this season before a young core of the Bombers’ up-and-coming stars stood tall to carry the club’s top-grade through the 2026 campaign, their development set to continue under Murray league junior representative mentor Tiff Bartram.
Bartram has been appointed as Kyabram coach following Emma Quinn’s departure, bringing a local netball resume’ that spans multiple leagues and several premierships.
Crossing to Kyabram Recreation Reserve fresh from mentoring Tongala’s B-grade outfit to a Murray Netball League flag, Bartram’s CV also includes experience in the Central Murray league, taking Macorna’s A-grade squad from the depths of the ladder to a grand final appearance during her five-season tenure.
Bartram’s on-court accolades include captaining Echuca United to an A-grade premiership in 2019 and playing a key role in Cohuna’s 2016 triumph.
Meanwhile, Congupna has also turned to an established leader to help carry it back up the ladder.
After several seasons out of finals and enduring a winless campaign, The Road has turned to former Barooga coach and Mooroopna and GVL interleague mentor Matt Healey to lead The Road in 2027.
Healey has been a key member of the Cats’ coaching team for several seasons, as well as a driving force behind the GVL’s junior interleague sides.
