One Deniliquin footballer is confirmed to be lining up for the Benidgo Pioneers in 2025, while others are still progressing through the selections process.

Savannah Emery from the Deni Rams has been named in the Bendigo Pioneers under-16 girls list for the 2025 talent league season.
She has had an outstanding few seasons of football, including in the Bendigo Pioneers’ under-15s girls V/Line Cup squad, as a member of the Deni Rams fourths in 2024.
Three Deniliquin players are also in contention for the under-18 boys, and will progress to phase two of the representative team’s preseason.
This includes Doug Billings and Charlie Bull from the Deni Rams and Baxter Cowley from the Deni Rovers.
Charlie and Baxter have also had several impressive seasons, including best and fairests for their respective thirds teams in 2024.
They were both also selected in the under-16s Pioneers team, and the GWS Academy Nationals under-16 team that competed at the 2024 Marsh AFL National Development Championships.
Doug has also burst onto the scene of representative football, having progressed to play significant games for the Deni Rams seniors, as well as representing the Murray League in the under-16s Interleague team last year.
The final Pioneers squads will play throughout the year against other teams from the representative regions around Victoria in the talent league.
It is the highest level of junior football competitions for under-16s and under-18s.
The final under-18s boys squad along, and the under-16s boys list, will be released in early March.
